FYI, for anyone interested, there is a video that shows some of the
improvements.  Relevant to recent discussion here is the fact that you'll
now be able to search mail!  Also, apparently you'll be able to cut and past
anything, not just editable text - at least in the web browser:

Dissapointingly it looks like they haven't changed the notifications in
terms of getting them to be more configurable/granular - looks like you
can't assign your own notification tones or different ones for different
types of notifications, although there is at least one Homebrew app (My
Notifications) that allows you to change the one notification tone that's
currently available...
