I downloaded a little app called MyIP. It shows stuff.
One thing it shows is the local and "public" IP associated with the WiFi part of the Pre. Why does the WiFi part of the Pre need a "public" IP, and what IS that public IP? Is it standard? Or is it because MyTether is installed? If the latter, I'd think it would only be active when MyTether is on. Youth wants to know!! (OK, I exaggerated about the "youth" part . . .)
