The good news is it's a free upgrade from previous versions. It also lets you download a bunch of Palm apps -- most games I tried are trial versions. Bad news is they are all stylus-based i.e. small buttons not amenable to finger poking. Haven't tried the hot syncing, but of course, it's only for Palm apps. Don't know why I'd ever keep a Palm datebook/phonebook when I've got an equivalent Pre version (ignoring the Pre's deficiencies). Seems like a dead end to keep pressing on with old Palm/Treo stuff on a new platform. I only use Handyshopper & ThoughtManager from the Palm days. Even if they don't come out with Pre versions, there will be similarly functional Pre apps out soon. I'm impressed with some of the App Store stuff. Don P.
