Windows 7 no longer has that setting in control panel. It now has "Home
Group", "profiles", "Sharing Options" and all kinds of other new settings
that sound scary by offering the potential to irreparably destroy my home
wireless network connection permanently. . . :-)

Any one else have any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Chuck

Windows 7

on XP in Network Connections window Advanced -> Advanced Settings you
can set the preferred order of the connections - moving Remote Access
below LAN.

Not sure if this is the same with Vista or Win 7
