Ok, you asked for it! 1. Processor Speed (software improvements will help with speed, but processor speed can be very helfpul!) 2. Increased Ram (for more speed and better handling of multiple cards - we've seen this with the Pre Plus) 3. Increased storage (for helping to make the Pre more useful when NOT connecting to the cloud). This can and should include the addition of external removable storage 4. Compass (for cool augmented reality applications among other uses) 5. Support for more audio and video codecs and formats, especially Audible.com format 6. More buttons (for creating hotkeys to do things or start apps without all the swiping) 7. Allow for services to keep running even when the phone is locked (screen is off). In particular GPS. 8. Add most of the patches (or at least similar ones with options for them to be turned on/off - configurability out of the box is not very good). 9. Add much more granular controls for sound. I want options to change alert sounds for everything that currently makes some kind of sound (well, maybe not within 3rd party apps, except when those apps use notification services) 10. Slightly larger screen - at least as one model option (to compete with the larger Android & iPhone screens) 11. "It goes to 11!" I've never expressed this, but why not now. While I like how the keyboard and slider work, I also like doing things in landscape due to it's wider footprint that allows for more (and thus larger) text display. What I'm wondering is if that notorious "oreo" effect reported in the first weeks of the Pre on some devices could actually be exploided by designing a way for the Pre's keyboard to actually rotate when you have it slid out so that you could type while in landscape mode. 11b. Ok, I know, I know, but 11 brings up a good point - I have no use personally for an on-screen keyboard, but I think in order to give iPhone users less resistance in switching, WebOS really needs a good one that has good autocorrection like the iPhone's - for those people who prefer the virtual over the physical. Obviously this isn't a priority for me, but one I think that Palm should be working on.
