You can always create a subfolder of your contacts that you do not want in your email contacts. I'm not exactly sure how the Pre syncs this, as I'm still using a Centro, but it will help keep things less cluttered in Outlook. If you're synching with Pocket Mirror, I'd bet it syncs both fine.
