There's a problem with the search function in the Memos app. At the Memos main screen you normally perform a search by starting to type a string. This automatically brings up the search bar, and memos containing the search string are displayed. But you cannot search for a string that begins with a number! It just won't accept it, and instead converts the initial number character to the alpha equivalent for that key. I found this out when I tried to search for Memos having the string "2009". Couldn't do it! The Pre insisted on displaying "r009" instead. Very frustrating. I also use the Notes app in Chapura Pocket Mirror for Pre. It has this same limitation as the built-in Memos. Their tech support people said it's a webOS issue, and there's nothing to be done about it, but they gave me a workaround: Hold down the Option key while typing the initial number, and the Pre will accept the number. It's a pain to have to do this extra step, but it is a usable workaround. Btw, when I heard back from Chapura with the workaround, they told me to hold down the RED key. I quickly realized they must mean the Option key. My Palm Pre Plus keyboard is all grayscale. Does the original Sprint version have colors on the keys? George
