The initial sync is slow. I have 3658 contacts & it takes time. If you've
given decent time then I'm not sure what's wrong? I guess you should format the
phone once & check.
Google forum help is help from other users only. There's no help from google
themselves.

Google has absolutely no help at all. You put in a question and what you
get is a forum where a dozen more respond and after each response is a
Google question wanting to know if the answer helped. But it wasn't an
answer, it was another person complaining of the same problem.
Maybe I'm getting what I'm paying for. Maybe Exchange ...
