True, unless the update to 1.4 breaks the Pre's ability to talk to that
particular car kit, as it did with my Volvo XC90. I don't think I saw my
rant about this come through to the group, so will send again!!

CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!

Cheers,

Don

The "hands free" part is with regard to the car/stereo. Unless I'm
mistaken, when you give voice commands to the dialer, you speak into a
microphone on the dashboard and you hear responses via the car's stereo
speakers. Voice command capability on the Pre isn't needed.

Subject: [Treo] Pre Bluetooth confusion

I am considering buying a Mazda3, and the i Touring model has built-in
bluetooth, but something is puzzling me.

Go to the following website:

http://www.mazdausa.com/bluetooth

Click "Find a Device". Select the following:
Model: Mazda3 4-door
Year: 2010
Trim: i Touring
Wireless Carrier: Sprint
Click "Go"
Click on "PalmOne Pre"

You will see a green check mark next to "Handsfree Dialing".

I thought that the Pre didn't support handsfree dialing. Is that the same
as voice dialing?

What am I missing?
