Yep, I, too, was lusting after this as I followed the Engadget live blog.

I kept thinking "Jeez, Palm, just partner with / hire HTC to get webOS
one one of these awesomely yummy HTC slablet phones already!"

Seriously...I love the webOS, but the more I use my Pre, the more I'm
convinced that it's just underpowered for the OS, at least relative to
my expectations for responsiveness and consistency.  A 1GHz Snapdragon
or Cortex-8 proc w/ 512MB or a gig of RAM on board would make this
stellar OS just sing.

Sprint announced that Cincinnati is on its list of 4G rollout
cities...depending on when that happens, the Evo might fit well with
my plans. :-/
