I was thinking I had the same problem (via my Trapster app not working 
correctly), but I tried it again today and it works.

Not sure if this cured it or not, but I turned the GPS and Google services off, 
then back on again.

Google Maps works fine here in the UK under 1.4 (once I had turned on 

location services!) and find my location to within about 50 feet (`cept 

I`m in the house not in the garden!)
