Inexcusably sloppy on Palm's part. One of the improved filename patches appears to be a solution.

Today is the first day that I had a major disappointment with my Pre. My faith took a step backwards. I'm on vacation with 3 of my boys up here in Boston. Took them to the Children's Museum. When I left my house yesterday, I didn't bring a digital camera, figuring I'd trust my Pre. Well, today I took a bunch of pics of the boys. At one point, I decided to review them. Many of them weren't there anymore! I vaguely recall hearing that some folks have had issues with deleted photos, but I neverr did, and it seemed like it wasn't too common. Some research indicates that it is a bug, where the Pre overwrites some photos automatically. It has to do with file names etc. It is also random. So... Now I'm anxious about using the ccamera. And let me tell you...that really s*cks IMHO! UGH!
