The Pre+ slider was redesigned and featured as being much better, which it
is.

 

No idea how BB got rid of the keybounce problem.  The remaining problem I
had with the BB was hitting one key directly and another, slightly after,
indirectly and having it type both letters.  The Curve did that.  Not sure
if they fixed it on the Bold/Tour.  I was worried about that on the Pre, but
it doesn't do it, even though the keys are smaller and closer together.

The Pre Plus slider halves wiggle a little (maybe 1 mm at most), but it's
not a problem. I notice my 2-month old unit wiggles a bit more than my
son's 1-month old unit.

Oh, so this is an issue that has plagued other handsets? How was it
resolved on the Blackberry? Do you think it can be fixed with a software /
firmware update (tweaking the debouncing algorithm)?
