I never said I hated Palm. If you've followed my posts here and elsewhere,
I've been pretty loyal to Palm (and especially Garnet) for 12 years, but
I've been very critical of any technology which does not successfully
accomplish its purpose. I've said it over and over "these things are
tools. If they don't work as such, they're bricks."

Garnet stopped accomplishing what I needed my smartphone to do. WebOS does
not satisfy my needs either. It may be and certainly is a wonderful OS for
many, but not for my job, not for my work. And even Apple's iphone OS is
fairly elegant, but in an area where AT&T coverage is spotty, it's
completely useless.

Thus, my *personal* choice was Android. That doesn't mean I hate all
others, so no need to put those words in my mouth.

I have a whole host of MP3 players because I like aspects of each; but
they're not tools, they're toys, and I can play with toys on my time.

On work time, the tool has to work.

My comment was more to the business model and the repeated ability of Palm
to screw things up as an entity, despite its longstanding ability to produce
innovative products.

Harold
