Hi Suzanne,

Just one came through to me. I had Preware and LaunchPoint installed at the
same time with no issues.

Good luck!

Cheers,

Don

Subject: [Treo] LaunchPoint Speed Dial help needed

After these glowing recommendations, I decided to install LaunchPoint. But,
I'm unable to get it to install: it freezes at "Installing." I've closed the
App Catalog card, and do see the LPSD icon, but clicking it just takes me
back to the App Catalog and the same "Installing." message.

I've tried to research this, and found a thread from last fall on PreCentral
regarding a conflict with PreWare, which I also have installed. That issue
appears to have been resolved by a later version of PreWar, which is what I
have. I'd sure hoped to get this installed and working before leaving on a
business trip in a couple of hours. I've installed free apps from the
catalog without any hitch, so it figures that there'd be a problem with my
first purchase!

I've sent an email to LPSD's developer, but no reply as of yet. If anyone
has ideas, I'm open to any and all, with thanks. Meanwhile, back to
researching . . .

Apologies if this message appears more than once. It's been rejected by
Yahoo Groups from every email address I have, with the message that I'm not
subscribed. I got the same message when I tried to post directly on the Web,
with the same results. Funny, since I get emails daily, and obviously have
to be a member in order to post at all! Sheesh! My initial problem has been
compounded!

I like LaunchPoint. I up-swipe the launcher and there it is, working.
You can set a point for each number, email or SMS for people, create
popups and group text -- works well for me.
The only drawback is assignments do not update automatically. If
someone's number changes, you have to delete the launch point and create
another one.
On the other hand, you can drag and drop them to arrange them any
way you'd like, since they are just what their name indicates -
individual shortcuts.
