Datebk's author is currently working on porting Pimlical (which I use on 
  my XP Desktop) to the Android. Pimlical has all the functionality of 
Datebk, and more. Until then, I see no reason to move from the Centro, 
which I see do a reset maybe once every few months or so.

It doesn't do any linking between appts and contacts, on the iPhone. 
Neither does PocketInformant.
