"True story: On my way back from Iowa earlier this week I decided to take up on
a recommendation from AT&T and stop in at an AT&T store and pre-order a
4. So I did, my nearest option was Lincoln, NE. I'm a good customer, top of the
line plan.. never missed a bill, have qualified for an upgrade since November
2009. I decided to wait until June and see what Job's came up with for an
iPhone. OK Darin I tried to pre-order just like you. I did, I got in after a
5-6 hour attempt, found that the bastards charge your account right away not
like most when it ships. I was a little short, putting new Bridgestone tires on
my 2008 Infiniti FX the next day. So I decided to pass until the following
week. We all know where that went. So anyway, I stop in at AT&T in Lincoln;
they tell me "major credit cards" only. Look, I have not used a loan shark, I
mean revolving credit card since 1993. I have a credit card/debit Visa and
Mastercard that I use to rent cars, buy things, etc, etc, etc. Do you think
they would take me money? Hell no my money is no good to these people... I was
unable to make a pre-order this Tuesday. I called AT&T and fussed; they
claimed that some stores were dealing with the shortages and demand in
different ways. My option stop at another store. Well I called crApple and
managed to place a preorder Wednesday with a delivery on August 1. They
canceled my pre-order yesterday and refunded my $330.

Long story short, F*ck Em'!!!

I'm went to Verizon yesterday and was approved for a Droid X for less money and
a better contract. I am an avid crApple fan as Darin will tell you. Buying
crApple products since the 1980's!!! I'll tell you another Job's story about
OSX 10.5 later.

I have not decided what to do but I seriously suspect "Im not alone!!!!!!!"
