Pst Tom was talking about how sometimes Christians are just content in
being born again as if it is the all in all. He likened it to coming
through the front door & just standing at the entrance. Now you can't do
that and say that I am living in the kingdom. You can never enjoy the
kingdom when you think being in the doorway is it! Being in the kingdom
is a disposition, a way of life. It's not what happens to you but your
perspective of the circumstances. What we choose to focus on, to
influence us and define who we are. Israel & David looked at the same
man, Israel saw a giant but David saw an "uncircumcised Philistine"
needing to be taught a lesson. Elisha's servant saw a frightening liege
of armies of men but Elisha saw the Armies of the Heavens. Ten spies saw
giant inhabitants in the promised land but Caleb & Joshua saw the
uncompromising will of the living God. The disciples saw the death in a
storm, Jesus saw an opportunity to command the elements & Peter took the
chance to make history & walk on water. The disabled beggar was hoping
for a day's pennies to get by but Peter was believing for a
life-transforming experience. Israel saw a roadblock & imminent death,
Moses was shown by God a highway to imminent freedom from the pursuant
Egyptians. What about you & I, what do we see???

the kingdom." Luke 12:32
