Hey guys We are coming from an amazing weekend in Cross Culture Highfield and an amazing Sunday. Though Sunday is not done yet until Brazil plays Ivory Coast!!! LOL!!!! :) However I thought I would just write to you guys and share some thoughts from these past two days. Yesterday I had the opportunity of being at the Highfields Cross Culture launch. I was so glad to see a lot of you guys VIBING AS USUAL!! I saw Miss Wadzie hit the Dance Floor and make Cross Borrowdale proud. However outside all the fun we had I was really touched by Pastor Lyncs message about going after the annointing and being one who pursues. He said you can tell someone who is hungry for God just by looking at them. I must say guys that really challenged me and I began to ask myself whether I am pursuing God the way I used to... I thought about all the things I used to do to go after God that I give excuses for now. Yet God can still be found if I seek Him. I wonder what you guys got from that message? One of the principles I learnt was that its up to you to sustain your hunger for God because the annointing is not cheap. To get what you want from God you are going to have to do more than your 5 minute "Now I lay me down to sleep prayer". Please write and share your thoughts with me as well. Then todays Fathers day was just special for me. I loved the simple six part message that Pastor Tom gave us on the things he would want to be remembered for. These were basic things that if you don`t have them will make the difference between making and breaking you. He spoke on 1. Loving the word 2. Being a person of intergrity. 3. Walking with the presence of God everywhere you go. 4. The truth of heaven and hell being real to you. 5. Declaring a blessing on your children (remember Pastor Tom said children are not necessarily natural sons and daughters but whatever you give birth to. 6. Never giving up, getting up and trying again. I think you would agree that this weekend was really packed and those who were hungry and thirsty were filled!!! I will leave you with two verses to chew on lol!!! Isaiah 55:1 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, come buy and eat, Yes, come buy wine and milk without money and without price" Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled".
