I like yo' last words sir, Christ the hope of all glory...Last week I was meditating on the issue of burdens & yokes, and the words of Christ in the NT say Come all ye who are heavy laden with your own yokes, and I will give you my yoke n my yoke is not heavy...compared to other yokes, the yokes of life, of family, of employment, Christ's yoke is light and we r better off carrying that yoke...The world carries many a yoke, I have seen pple struggle w certain issues n I have said "If only they knew tht Christ took all that to the Cross..."
It is time we put off our yokes, either becoz of pride or guilt, and lay them at the feet of Christ, the fact that Christ carried His own cross says it all, that it was symbolic of Him carrying our burdens, our troubles, our insecurities, fear, disease, poverty, and anything tht can bear us down. How come we often have to wait upon him before we overcome? I believe its not only casting burdens upon the Lord but its total surrender of ur life. If we just learn to die to self and live our life for him, our lives will no longer be focused on ourselves but God. It will no longer be us but Christ living in, the hope of all glory.
