Luke 12:32 From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tsungi Mukandi Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2010 10:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Amen you know God looks at our heart and what our gist means to us. General Milton is always mentioning that you offering has to mean something to you. I remember when I was going to the UZ I had no money to give for offering on a Wednesday for cell group so I would walk home from school and give my bus fare as an offering. You know those times are some of the few times I`ve really felt the pleasure of God. Give to God that which costs you something like David said in 2 Samuel 24:24 " Then the king said to Araunah, no but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing." So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. In other words guys every time David gave, he felt it, study his life and you will find that when it came to serving and giving to his God he always did it big. 13And when those who bore the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling. 2 Samuel 6:13 If you studied it further you will find that it was a sheep and an ox for every 6 paces that the priest took. The total number is seen in 1 Chronicles 15:26 that 14 animals who offered up on that day simply because the ark of the covenant was being brought in! What am I trying to show you? David did things in a big way when it came to God. You may not have a 100 US to give to God but give Him an offering that costs you. I gave you an example of walking home from school because I couldn`t imagine appearing before God with nothing. It cost me to give that offering. Is your offering costing you? Thanks Simba for that exhortation! Saty blessed! For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.' Luke 21:3-4 sometimes we feel like there is nothing we can give to God becpz we have very little but Jesus here demonstrates that that which we give in our time of lack has more value than that which we give out of our abundance. The scripture teaches us of the power of sacrifice. Let us strive to give sacrificially and in faith and God will meet us at our point of need. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "tribewithavibe" group.
