Wow I can`t wait for the conclusion on that one. grace and favor! Well I know a couple of guys on this chat asked how do you determine what your gifting is. Well the first thing I`d say what is it that you feel a pull towards? God places these things on the inside of us before we are even born. The Bible says that you knew all of my days before one of them was (Psalm 139). The story of Moses touches me. Remember how before he met God in the burning bush the condition of the Hebrews hurt him and he tried to deliver them in the flesh. He hadn`t received the anointing to do it but he felt a pull towards seeing the Israelites delivered anyway. So the 1st thing is what are you naturally drawn towards.
Secondly I believe that you can really just position yourself to do certain things. I don`t know if you guys have heard of a Pastor called Michael Pitts? This guy is just deep. When he was asked when he received the big calling to do what he is doing his answer was there was no big calling or an audible voice. He says one day he just decided that he was going to get serious with the word and prayer. As he committed himself to those things he began to realise a grace coming upon him. Thats it, just committing himself to being in the word and in prayer. I`ll give you my own example, i`m far from being a prayer warrior or anything like that but I have reached a certain place in prayer and I got there by just availing myself more and more to the things of God. I remember the 1st time I timed myself to pray in the Spirit for 30 minutes after 10 minutes I thought I was going to die! It was so painful, so boring and 30 minutes took forever. But as I continued to avail myself and go for all-night prayers and just staying in the word and I began to notice a grace that began to operate in my life now in my personal prayer time by the time I get to an hour in tongues I will just be beginning the engine will have been warmed up and I`m now ready to start praying. So what I really wanted to say is you may not know your giftings but what is God pulling you towards and what do you desire to do for Him. In the kingdom there are really only two raw materials that we use to become what we were called to be. *THE WORD AND PRAYER.* Thats why the Apostles in the book of Acts even after the Lord Jesus had laid hands on them said in Acts 6 "we cannot neglect the word of God and prayer to wait on tables". They knew as powerful as they were, there are 2 essential things are the fuel for greatness and continually experiencing the grace of God on your life. So stay in the word and stay in prayer. If you were not seriously in the word and seriously in prayer get to those things and I can promise you before long you`ll begin to operate in your element! Lots of love! Chief.
