Luke 12:32 -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of simbarashe wekwete Sent: Tuesday, October 19, 2010 4:02 PM To: tribewithavibe Subject: Financial Discipline Part 1 good day Vibers, hope i find you well. sometime last week we discussed the issue of inheritance and reference was made to the financial side of one's inherirance. I felt God telling me to help my fellow brethren on the issue of managing our finances. What i am going to share has helped me to be a better person and to live in abundance almost every month and this is actually a testimony. I have also realised that most of us end up borrowing unnecessarily because we do not plan how we use our finances. I have decided to put together some points that can help us. Pst Tommy once shared on the issue of inheritance and he spoke about legacy and heritage, legacy being material/ tangible inheritance and heritage being intangible iheritance/values inheritaed. Financial discipline, as i understand it, as a value, is strict self control in managing finances. the idea is that once one is able to manage their finances, a legacy can be created from this value system, which can be used for the advancement of the Kingdom as well as a testimony that values create legacies thus creating a comprehensive inheritance. During the Kingdom Fest, Br Nigel chanakira shared on what he termed the 70/30 rule whereby he encouraged us to live on 70% of our income, give 10% as a tithe, save 10% as a long term investment and save 10% for emergencies. we shall do this step by step. Step 1: Tithing i am sure we are all aware of the commandement to tithe and know the need to do so. what i just want to highlight on tithing is that we should tithe off our gross earnings and not our net income. One precher once said do you want God's gross or Net? I will ask you do you pay your income Tax on gross or on Net? please answer the above 2 questions and decide what your tithe should be. Step number 1 therefore when you recieve your income is to put aside your tithe. Not only are we required to do so as christians, but i strongly believe that God will bless the rest if we give him what is his. tomrw we shall move on to step 2 in Finacial Discipline. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "tribewithavibe" group.
