Prov 11:25 Make it your lifestyle to serve others, to give liberally and to be a blessing to those around you. We give in different ways but the bible clearly states that he who refreshes others shall be refreshed. As we take time to pray and fast, let us also give as much as we can to those we love. Someone just needs a word of encouragement, someone just needs to be shown love, someone needs a touch, someone needs a prayer, someone needs money the list goes on but in watever way give liberally especially this time of praying and fasting. I have personally made it a lifestyle to be a giver. I never miss an opportunity to sow into someone's life for i know that someone will also saw into my life, the bible says so.
Just 2 weeks back, a friend i serve with in church's family was involved in an accident. He lost his daughter, and his wife fractured a hand and had deep cut on the head. I visited his wife in hospital a number of times and prayed for her, gave a look, a touch and a word as we a taught. But the more often i visited the hospital, i felt the Lord telling me to give financially to help the brother take care of the bills. We put together money with the other leaders in the team and blessed him. The man was very grateful becoz he needed the money to get a scan and further x rays taken, though he had never mentioned this to us, he only let us know about when she was discharged after he used the money we blessedhim with to get the tests done. As i wrte this, his wife is recovering from home. The other side of the coin is that I gave off what i had budgeted to use for transport and food for January. So that meant that i had just enough for bus fare to take me to the 12th of January, and with no money for lunch, neither did i have any extra, but the day she was discharged from hospital, an hour after i got the text that she has been discharged, i was blessed with cash by a client who i have dealt with for a while, who didn't know that behind the smile that i was giving her, i was not sure if i would travel to work this week coz i didn't have bus fare. She just blessed me with cash enough to take me to the end of the month. Guys our Gd is faithfull and he will never disappoint.
