I believe as difficult as it may seem it is possible separate one's self from the uncleanliness around them. This does not mean that one then gets into a strained relationship with say family or work mates who may have a different belief system. The key thing is to maintain respect for the persons by not judging them. We face a challenge here as christians because we are quick to judge anyone who does not share our faith. Once you judge someone they will judge you back with the same measure.
But if you respect them and their way of belief - without condoning the ways. Then they will in turn also respect your faith and way of life that whenever they want to do what they know is aganist your faith they will deliberately leave you out knowing it will offend you.
