Just passing along these nuggets of information from LinuxGizmos ( https://linuxgizmos.com/): MangoPi MQ Pro a possible $20 substitute to the Raspberry Pi Zero W <https://linuxgizmos.com/mangopi-mq-pro-a-possible-20-substitute-to-the-raspberry-pi-zero-w/> [image: image.png]
The MangoPi MQ Pro <https://mangopi.cc/mangopi_mqpro> is a Single Board Computer based on the Allwinner D1 RISC-V processor <https://www.allwinnertech.com/uploads/pdf/2021070515231402.pdf>. This SBC has similar hardware features of the RPI Zero W besides its form factor. After its initial announcement in January, the MangoPi MQ is already available in the SBC market for around $20. The main difference between the RPI Zero W and the MangoPi MQ Pro is the RISC-V processor. According to Allwinner, “the D1 is an advanced application processor designed for RISC-V Multimedia decoding platforms.” The CPU integrated is the 64-bit XuanTie C906 RICS-V (up to 1GHz). Furthermore, there is a HiFi4 DSP, a VPU(4K H.265/H264) and 2D graphics acceleration to improve its computing performance. Hardkernel’s newest ODROID-M1 enters the SBC market <https://linuxgizmos.com/hardkernels-newest-odroid-m1-enters-the-sbc-market%ef%bf%bc/> [image: image.png] The Korean-based company Hardkernel announced the launch of their newest ODROID-M1 single board computer which adopts the Rockchip RK3568 as its System on Chip. The SoC integrates four ARM cortex-A55 processors (up to 2 GHz), a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU and a 0.8 TOPs AI accelerator RKNN NPU. Although slower than its predecessors (i.e. ODROID H2), the ODROID-M1 provides a wide variety of peripherals. The SBC has SATA, eMMC, MicroSD and M.2 NVMe M-key support. Additionally, it comes with Petitboot pre-installed in its onboard SPI-flash memory for easier kernel and OS management.
