I got some spam from Infineon about solutions for portable battery powered tools. A lot of people don't think about Infineon much but they are the kings in this low voltage, high current space. They've traditionally done a lot of automotive and still do. They make a lot of clever smart power devices with Ron's in the milliohms that can drive brushed and brushless motors really well. This is what the pros use. They also have some pretty good battery management and charging stuff lately. If you've always wondered how your 36V cordless drill makes all that power, Infineon is often behind it. I have no personal stake, this little blurb just reminded of how good there stuff is and how little of it I see in hobby stuff.
