It did rain and cause a "shelter in place" status for Black Rock City (this is
the name given to Burning Man's planned city). It dried out within a day or so.
The "terror" mostly came from folk flights home and be able to report to work.
This cause some to hike out on foot to be bussed to the nearest city with
further transport. And others daring to drive vehicles in the wet areas got
stuck. Some treaded so deep they were buried
