Having thought about it for a while, I'm gonna check some fundamentals. Upon reflection, it seems likely it's related to the noise/brownout issue that was happening with the Nano. I'm going to recharge the battery (it was mid to low charge) and see if it goes away.
Given the lack of time, I think I am also going to lower my goals. I'm going to leave the cap and shutdown remote off for now and just focus on getting it driveable and make some materials talking about the project. If Nick's still up to man the table, I think maybe it can just be him using it rather than people. Rodney doesn't think an enclosure will be needed and it is speed limited pretty hard. Still need to get ahold of the organizers to confirm though. @trampas: Thanks for the code. The motors have some particularities so I probably will not use that specifically, but it's great to have examples to compare to. @scott: Thanks. That made me rethink my goals for this.
