The Heltec (short for "Hello Tech", a play on "Hello World") V4 boards
and the like use "IPEX1" connectors for antennas. These are identical to
U.FL, simply a different brand name. The mating connectors are fragile.
Be gentle and precise with them. Put the mating connector on top and
dead level and press straight down with a finger nail. Ideally that's it
and you never disconnect as the connector can only tolerate a small
number of cycles. To remove it grab the connector with needle nose
pliers held straight down and very gently wiggle back and forth a few
degrees while pulling straight up. I'm not saying that small single
digit cycles are going to result in failures but the design guarantees
failure when the mating connector parts flex enough.
If/when you have an application that requires a lot of cycles go with a
system that has SMA connectors or the like that are designed for durability.
