Differing counties are more or less restrictive than each other.
Currently Durham County is being retentive about everything, but talking
with the inspectors you realize that most people are idiots. Due to the
high number of fires from improperly wired stuff (just about everything
was on the list of somebody screwing it up) they care about everything.
Now the inspectors are cool about it if they actually speak with you in
person and realize _you_ have a clue, but in general they're using the
lowest common clue factor.
