I'm running KDE 3.0 from the SuSe 8.0 distribution and am unable to get
the audiocd option of Konqueror to show MP3s. I read elsewhere that this
has to do with not having LAME installed, so I went out and pulled down
lame and lame-lib rpms. When I attempted the install, I got the message
that I need libtinfo.so.5. The only problem is that I can't seem to find
it anywhere. rpmfind.net said it was on ncurses-devel, so I loaded that,
but no libtinfo.so.5.
The sad part is that, running KDE 2.2.2 on SuSe 7.3, this feature worked
perfectly. It's not working now, even though I loaded blade, which should
provide the mp3 ripping capabilities.
Can anyone provide guidance?
Did I make a huge mistake upgrading to 8.0?
