Hello

I couldn't resist for the essentials.

apropos to search for the man page on a particular topic.

man topic to see the man page.

Navigate within the document via arrow keys, pg up, pg down, and search via
/word and hit n for next and shift - n for prev.

If you want to open all man pages for a particular topic. Say the topic
appears in multiple chapters. Use man -a topic. then do a q to go to the
next manpage.

If know the section number, do a man number topic. eg. man 1 printf or man
3 printf

Someone can also give a list of the different sections. ....

Back to work.

Sounds like our newbie stuff should include how to read man and info pages
and how to do a good search.
