Thanks to all who replied. What happened is that I requested the free installation because our existing cable may be old and there's not a cable outlet in the room where the computers are. When the technician came he said he had to install the RoadRunner software on a Windows box, and our Win95 machine didn't meet the minimum requirements.
The extra 3GB drive already happens to have Win98 on it anyway. I guess I'll just stick it in temporarily for the RoadRunner install, then go back to Linux after.
