-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 It happens I just did a Debian Sarge install on a dual 2100+ system and this is what is in my /proc/cpuinfo for cpu0:
processor : 0 vendor_id : AuthenticAMD cpu family : 6 model : 6 model name : AMD Athlon(tm) MP 2100+ stepping : 2 cpu MHz : 1733.426 cache size : 256 KB ... bogomips : 3460.30 Without knowing any better, I'd say it seemed that you actually have a 1500+ in there. Are you using a 2.4 kernel? I don't know if it would make any difference, but perhaps 2.2 doesn't detect the 2200+ properly.
