Why would you want to "unshadow" your password files? All current
programs should be able to use a shadow password file just fine. Are
you trying to run something really really old that doesn't use PAM or
even shadow password files?
The shadow passwords are in /etc/shadow, so you could just copy them
into the password fields in /etc/passwd by hand, or write a simple shell
script to do it.
