Running RH8, no kernel upgrades or anything since install.
For some reason, sound stopped working earlier tonight. I rebooted, and when it came to, Linux's vocal cords were dead. Sound plays from Windows (yea, so I have a small Windows partition reserved for when Vice City comes out for PC...), so the problem is here somewhere.
I ran sndconfig, which autodetected the SB Live! 5.1 MP3+, but still no sound. Checked the mixer... all unmuted, and at an appropriate volume.
Nothing at all seems to suggest anythign wrong. In fact, this is from dmesg:
Creative EMU10K1 PCI Audio Driver, version 0.19, 12:25:24 Sep 4 2002 emu10k1: EMU10K1 rev 7 model 0x8061 found, IO at 0xdc00-0xdc1f, IRQ 11 ac97_codec: AC97 Audio codec, id: 0x8384:0x7608 (SigmaTel STAC9708) emu10k1: SBLive! 5.1 card detected
Oh wait, here's something. /var/log/messages:
Mar 14 21:51:48 host3-null modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-slot-1
Mar 14 21:51:48 host3-null modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-1-0

Mar 14 21:51:48 host3-null modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-1-0
Any idea why this happened and how I can fix?
Thanks...
