BEA's is one route, DataDirect's is another for 7 support :)

If you're willing to pay a few hundred and will be doing jdbc with sql
server for the long term, all the bells / whistles / spy / tracing /
etc. support in their stuff would seem to be great.  Their drivers
have impressed me so far :)
