One thing to watch out for is that some of those multi-port cards are 4 seperate ports (like taking the parts from 4 cards and mounting it on one physical card) thus giving you eth0, eth1, eth2, and eth3 on one card, but others are really just one port (eth0) with an on-board hub/switch. This may or may not matter to you, but it could certainly make a difference.
