I forgot to mention ... the computers were originally hooked up to a KVM switch, and the monitor works on the other two computers. After having the problems, I arranged the setup so that the KVM switch was not being used ... and I was still seeing the boot issues.

So I don't think it's a monitor issue ... and I swapped video cards w/ a working unit ... so not video card ... maybe an AGP slot issue on the motherboard?
