Sounds like you are having problems setting up the mime type on the
server.  You might want to backup your current /etc/httpd directory and
then try lumping all the extraneous mod files directly into the
httpd2.conf file... and then restarting apache.

I used this technique a few months ago to trace a problem with setting
php for a client.
