If there were a release date for 9.2, I'd definitely be counting down
the days. Any thoughts on the 2.6 kernel's release? Will it make it
into Mandrake 9.2?

Mandrake 9.2 will be realeased in the next week or so, but will only be available for download by club members initially. You can, however, pre-order the CD or DVD in the mandrake store right now. That should arrive about the same time the general public is able to download the iso images. Alternatively, you could join the Mandrake Club and download it sometime next week.

Since kernel 2.6 has not be released yet, it will not be in the main
Mandrake 9.2 distro. Looking at the latest cooker, however, I see
it is available as a package in contrib, so if you're really
stupid^H^H^H^H^H^Hbrave you can try it. :-)

Cheers,
Tanner

This would be a very good time to hang out with the Open Source
