I have wanted this same result in RHL 9 Gnome... having the windows keyboard "windows start menu key" be able to be used for the "hat" menu in RH's bluecurve... or K menu for those using straight KDE. I was never successful in RHL 9, but I understand MDK implements this successfully. I will actually be trying the MDK 9.1 distro for the first time in the next week or so.
