I have started 2 businesses and was self employed for 4 years. #1 Secure Internet Access, content filtering and Proxying - Sold this #2 Broadband technologies consulting - Eventually took it in the shorts
I suppose by any business standard I've been a failure, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I'll give it another go someday, but for now I'm licking my wounds and working for somebody else. Lesson learned: business partners don't always deliver. If you allow key parts of your business model to depend on partners then you had better be able to scramble when they drop the ball.
