Heh. It turns out it was Joseph Tate who actually determined the brokenness of the Red Hat RPMs; I think he posted this a while back. The problem is that different components were using differing versions of SASL, and the two versions are incompatible. Joseph convinced John Dennis at Red Hat of this and the result was fixed RPMs in Rawhide... thanks Joe. I was pulling my hair out about this quite a bit, another thing that was real handy, from the above bugzilla attachment text, was the hint on how to get saslauthd to log more verbosely. Chris Ricker and John Dennis really did a good job in that document. --Jeremy -- /---------------------------------------------------------------------\ | Jeremy Portzer [EMAIL PROTECTED] trilug.org/~jeremy | | GPG Fingerprint: 712D 77C7 AB2D 2130 989F E135 6F9F F7BC CC1A 7B92 | \---------------------------------------------------------------------/ -- TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/ TriLUG PGP Keyring : http://trilug.org/~chrish/trilug.asc
