Thanks for the tip! Actually, we have the menus set up the way that we like. Most of my frustration comes from gconf. :-( If I could get that to work for us, that would make things easier. So far I have taken the "more than one way to skin a cat" approach to locking Gnome down.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The applications that appear on the main menu are more or less ironed out. The section of the menu that I find problematic at the momement is the drop down list box that appears after selecting "Run."
