i give. i have tried yet have been unable to join bzflag.trilug.org. i
forwarded port 5154 udp on my linksys router to the wan port of my internal
firewall and opened up that same port at that juncture to no avail.

i can run the server yet can't connect to the trilug server. i hate playing
with my self.

any ideas? trash the internal firewall?

when running the server, reference was made to udp port 1199. something
ain't quite right.

Subject: [TriLUG] New BZFlag Server.

OK. It's that time. The new BZFlag server (V 1.10 "Break The World")
has been released. And accordingly, we've upgraded the server that
TriLUG runs to this version.

a little bad news:
The network protocols have changed. Thus, you will need to upgrade to
the new client (http://www.bzflag.org) before you're going to be able to
play. There are packages for most systems on the bzflag website.

The default port has also changed, to 5154.
