all, i got rid of the first three errors by not using dhcp. now all i've got is the SIOSIFFLAGS message though i admit that i would like to figure out how to get dhcp working with this card.

Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) : SET failed on device eth0: Operation not supported. Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) : invalid argument "s:". AND Determining IP information for eth0...SIOCSIFFLAGS: Connection timed out. i get similar errors from redhat-config-network (the gui) or from /etc/init.d/network start. commands like cardctl, iwconfig, and ifconfig seem to give reasonable output. i'm hoping that someone can reply with some sarcasm about a simple thing that i have obviously forgotten. thanks, stan -- TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/ TriLUG PGP Keyring : http://trilug.org/~chrish/trilug.asc -- TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/ TriLUG PGP Keyring : http://trilug.org/~chrish/trilug.asc
