The model server that you have matters a lot when it comes to smartstart versions.
If you have a newer system, specifically ones that have redundant firmware ROMS, then you need the latest, I believe that 6.4 is what's shipping, could be 6.5 by now.
If you have an older system, without redundant ROMS, then you need SmartStart 5.5 or older. The older systems won't even boot the new SS disks.
I can make an ISO of more current SS for you as well. I believe that if you call HP directly you will be able to get the current SS for a very minor fee. You can even subscribe for a fairly small fee to get new ones as they come out.
The more current SS,6.x are linux based, no more windows 3.x/95 based crap.
