***Mozilla Calendar***
Main site: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/

I think it's hilarious that they had to put above the installation instructions:

"The calendar requires Mozilla to install. Download Mozilla if you don't have it already. The following install links will not work in IE."

Open Mozilla and go to the above web site. Look at the chart and find the version of Mozilla that you have, along with the operating system that you are on. Click on the corresponding link. There are some different instructions for Thunderbird which you'll have to follow if you have that.

You'll get a message that the web site is requesting permission to install software. Click on ok and let it roll. You'll need to close all Mozilla application windows - this one got me because I still had the download manager window open - so make sure you close everything Mozilla related :)

When you open Mozilla, go to the Window menu and select Calendar. You should see 2 tabs on the left side of your window. One says Calendar and displays a monthly calendar. The second tab says Calendars (plural). Click on the Calendars tab.

Now go to File -> New Calendar. In the first field Name, name your calendar (this will be the display name shown in the Calendars tab area. You can change the color of the text to highlight different calendars you have loaded. Skip the first Location field (it has a Browse For Local File button to the right). In the SECOND Location box, put the URL of where you want your calendar stored as well as the name of the file. (the file has not been created yet - Moz Calendar will do that in a little bit).

If you set up security stuff, enter your username and password in the appropriate fields (I left this blank just to get it up and running for me). Click on the check box next to Publish changes automatically? This will keep the file on your web server totally up to date. Once you click on ok your calendar file will be created on your web server.

You should see your new calendar listed in the Calendars tab with a check mark beside it. Right-click the My Calendar entry and select Delete Calendar. Confirm that you want that one deleted. You can now add in events and tasks to your new published calendar.

Another neat tip: You can subscribe to other calendars available through the iCalShare site [1] super easy. I subscribed to the US Holidays [2].
